Mas-wrestling

Mas-wrestlingin avoimet Euroopan mestaruuskilpailut järjestetään Nordic Fitness Expossa molempina messupäivinä. Karsinnat ja kilpailu Sporttialueella.
Mas-wrestlingissä ottelijat asettuvat istumaan lattialle 25 senttiä korkean väliseinän eri puolille, jalat seinää vasten. Ottelijat tarttuvat puukapulaan, ja ottelun voittaa sen, joka saa kapulan irtoamaan vastustajan kädestä tai pakottaa hänet tulemaan väliseinän yli. Mas on puinen kapula, jonka herruudesta painijat taistelevat. Kapula tehdään koivusta tai muusta kestävästä puusta. Pituudeltaan kapula on 45–50 cm ja paksuudeltaan 33 mm. Välipuuna toimii molemmista päistä hyvin kiinnitetty 200 cm pitkä ja 24 cm korkea puulevy. Ottelun aikana painijat saavat vapaasti liikkua välipuuta vasten.

The Open European Championships in Mas-Wrestling will be held at Nordic Fitness Expo on both expo days. Qualifications and competition will take place in the Sports Area. In mas-wrestling, competitors sit on the floor on opposite sides of a 25 cm high wooden divider, with their feet braced against it. They grip a wooden stick, and the match is won by the athlete who pulls the stick out of the opponent’s hands or forces the opponent to come over the divider. The “mas” is the wooden stick that the wrestlers compete for. It is made from birch or another durable type of wood. The stick is 45–50 cm long and 33 mm thick. The divider is a 200 cm long and 24 cm high wooden board, firmly fixed at both ends. During the match, competitors are allowed to move freely against the divider.
